The new Shift Alpha boasts a super cool BOA closure system that's not your average setup. The dial is placed on the outer side of your foot, near the navicular bone, and the cable attaches to the inner ankle pivot using a strap. This helps pull your foot into the ankle pocket instead of squishing it. As an added bonus, the top has two regular buckles and a fancy 50mm elastic power strap known as the Salomon Booster Strap. Plus, all the hardware is made of simple screws and bolts, making it easy to fix and customize.
